Big Sur, CA

There's nothing like the great outdoors to remind you of how beautiful this world is. I find it's quite easy to get wrapped up in this crazy digital world we have today, so it's necessary to take a timeout every now and then. My timeout this time around happened to be a solid 3 day trip to Big Sur, CA. It was a pretty spontaneous trip actually. A very close friend and I had been planning some gallivanting before she was to leave for Paris for her Masters. Side note: This chick is driven. More people need to be like her. So of course having never been to Big Sur, and glorious photos begging us to explore, we managed to secure a dope little campsite. Mind you it was the middle of the summer, so I have no idea how we were able to pull that off during peak season. I'll just leave it up to signs that it was meant to be. On the way we added a few folks to the excursion crew - homies from the high school days - and set off. The trip was absolutely amazing! See the photo evidence. But as I like to do with all of my gallivanting, I want to leave you with something I learned; a lesson or realization, or something of the sort to hopefully inspire you to do more epic sh*t and work towards living a life you don't need a vacation from. So, here it is: Don't let fear keep you from taking risks for the things you can't live without. A particular situation arose where, due to fear, we missed out on what could have been an amazing and unforgettable experience to add to the trip. I'll never know though. It's definitely a bummer, and a lesson learned, but I'm glad to have experienced it to share with you. So, the next time you're one step away from something big, be brave, be courageous and take the step. You got this! Hope you enjoy the photos, and please share your thoughts, on anything.
